Ms Shoko Saeki

Shoko is a scholar-entrepreneur based in Japan and the United Kingdom, and currently a PhD Candidate in Religious Studies at University of Exeter UK. Following her academic experience at The Woolf Institute (University of Cambridge), she completed her Master of Arts in Jewish Studies at King's College London and in Christian Theology at Heythrop College, University of London. She has lived in the UK for an extend period of time, also stayed for a couple of months in Jerusalem (Israel) for her Ulpan at Hebrew University.


She established her own company during the pandemic to empower the world. Since then, it has become one of her lifetime goals that her company is to develop her business-like academic hubs and to be an agency that confronts global issues; such as animal, environmental and human rights issues through not only its excellent products in the UK, but also a role that values people-to-people relationships (e.g. interpretation, translation, attendant, MC). She was featured in Global Woman Leader Magazine as one of the top 10 Global Women Leaders from Japan for 2024 due to her years of endeavour and efforts in promoting SDGs.


Over the past few years, she has been actively worked and engaged with conferences organized by the United Nations, Academic Council on the United Nations System, The Japanese Political and Legal Studies Association and etc.

Established in 2012 by Prof. Luk Yan Lung Michael, the Institute for Greater China Studies (IGCS) has been quietly contributing to the field of scholarly research for approximately 12 years. The IGCS is dedicated to studying a wide range of political, social, economic, cultural, and public policy issues, with a special emphasis on the Greater China region, an important and continually evolving area of study in the contemporary world.
